Do things differently
If you keep repeating the same things over and over, you are likely to get the same results. This is a life lesson I’m sure many of us know.
Routine and habits are great and help get things done. But if you’re trying to change something in your business, or in your life, and struggling to make that shift then it may be time to get creative.
Work well, live well
No matter what tools you use to create, the true instrument is you, and through you, the universe that surrounds us all comes to focus.
– Rick Rubin, The Creative Act.
There’s increasing evidence to show the positive links between creativity and wellbeing. When people attend to their creative life there is a profound sense of meaning and purpose associated. Cultivating a creative life and professional artistry assists in managing adversity and developing resilience. The arts have the ability to enhance our lives and transform us. Engaging in an artful practice of any sort can help alter our state of being, our energy and even change our physiology.
If you’re ready for change and willing to explore what is possible, then let’s have a talk about your needs, and mastering them.
“[My] aim was to seek expert assistance in how to build on my current knowledge and make that leap to leadership at an executive level in state government. I liked the way Cathryn let me influence discussion topics but it was uncanny how she always had seemed to have been ready for where I was going in my thoughts and questions. This is the key to her approach that makes it, in my mind, highly effective. The sessions gave me valuable tools to ask the right questions of myself and to have the confidence again to accept the leadership challenge and better understand how I can work better to achieve these.

FAQs
What is the coaching process for individuals?
Regarding coaching for individuals, I firstly seek to understand the person with whom I am working, to see if we are a good fit. I often start with an initial Discovery session. This helps us determine a way forward. As a creativity coach I may also draw on artistic theories, concepts, and experiential learning, enabling you to dive deep into what it means to live and work well. This includes the use of drawing, painting, making, digital facilitation cards, and other such creative approaches to bring people out of their habitual thinking and into possibility thinking. Coaching is tailored to my clients and is flexible. Sessions can be delivered as consecutive whole days, a series of full or half-days, or hourly sessions. It can happen in person or virtually. We can collaborate in a neutral space, or I can come to your site for some creative in-residence workshops. Whatever best suits you and your availability.

How do you plan an individual coaching?
I plan an individual coaching session with my clients, beginning with the following steps:
- A reminder that coaching is a transitional and transformational process and may require multiple sessions to achieve your goals, projects and the changes you wish to create.
- Discussion with you – find out your real needs and concerns.
- Together we co-create a program that will create a catalyst for change and deliver the results you need.
- Delivery of the program in line with the agreed timeframe and budget, adopting the right co-creative way of working with you.
- Reflect and review coaching outcomes, and discuss future plans.
