AITD Seminar, Intentional Creativity: An Opportunity to Curate Your Year
An intentional creativity workshop led by Dr Cathryn Lloyd from Maverick Minds, Participants were guided through a series of creative thinking activities to spark their imagination, gain new perspectives, unearth your ideas, and take action for bringing to life their creative intentions.

CAUL Team Development
Dr Cathryn Lloyd facilitated a team development day for the Council of Australian University Librarians. As an entirely virtual team and with a new Executive Leader it was the first time the CAUL team had invested in their professional development. Working with a range of creative processes and the TMS Team Management Profiles the team delved deeply into their roles, challenges and opportunities. The Team Management Profiles provided an enlightening foundation for understanding everyone’s working preferences.
ESRI Australia Strategy Day
What was initially a very linear and dry agenda, Cathryn offered the ESRI team an alternative approach for their strategy. Using a creative and systems thinking approach the team were able to move from a linear approach to a more holistic way of thinking. Even though we diverted from the agenda, we used it as a check in to ensure the team was getting what they needed as well as new perspectives and important next steps.
Fraser Coast Council Facilitation Workshop
Working with two groups over two days, Cathryn led the Fraser Coast Council team through the foundations of facilitation and more. There were many smiles over those couple of days as people embraced the power and creativity of engaging people in facilitation.

Hervey Bay, what a great location to run a two-day foundations of facilitation workshop with the Fraser Coast Council. I’m a great believer if you can get outside and connect with the natural environment during meetings and other learning experiences it sets people up well for learning, creativity and being receptive to change.

Do you know the Open Space methodology? It’s such a great way to work with and engage with groups. Cathryn led an Open Space session with Graham Miller at the IAF Oceania International Association of Facilitators Facilitation in Action conference.
Inertia Connect 2022
Inertia Engineering engaged Maverick Minds to design and facilitate their inaugural Inertia Connect Day. Held at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art the creative environment worked a treat. The Inertians embraced their creativity and made deep connections through storytelling, prototyping, improvisation and performance. It was an absolute buzz.
Inertia Connect 2023
The success of Inertia Connect 2022 laid the foundations for Inertia Connect 2023. Held at the Old Museum it was the perfect playground and backdrop for Inertia to build on the great work they do throughout the year. Maverick Minds facilitated, designed and co-ordinated a day that included the team being led by Simon Hewett from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra to illustrate the power of listening. Jazz Music was used as a metaphor for working as an ensemble. Inertia’s values were deeply explored, reflected on and represented by a series of artworks painted by all the Inertians. These paintings now feature on the board room wall, they look fantastic and are wonderful creative artefacts from the day. They also act as a useful values reminder.

Inertia Elevate
Inertia invests in the creative professional development of their people. Maverick Minds has conducted a series of short workshops to spark creativity, connection, reflection, and productivity. Held at Inertia’s premises the Elevate sessions are designed to uplift and elevate those who participate.
Tooth Dental Team Development Day
Maverick Minds was asked to design and facilitate a culture development day for the team at Tooth Dental. We focused on building relationships as there were new members to the team, explored organisational values, and delved into what does it mean to create a culture of wellbeing at their dental practice.
Yellow Edge Creativity Workshop
Maverick Minds was invited by Andrew Simon CEO of Yellow Edge to facilitate a workshop for their team of coaches and facilitators. It was all about getting seriously playful as we explored ways to help people connect, build trust, engage, learn and have some fun along the way.

Dr Cathryn Lloyd is a facilitator with the Australian Institute of Training and Development. This sees her running public workshops and inhouse programs.
Federation University Facilitation Team Development 2
A series of workshops for the Federation University team in Brisbane. An opportunity for the team to build relationships, share their understanding of roles, opportunities and future thinking. Maverick Minds worked virtually and face to face. The team did their TMS Team Management Profiles which proved to be a very enlightening and useful process both individually and collectively.
RABOBANK Conference
Maverick Minds was invited to design and facilitate a large scale creative community building process for Rabobank employees as part of the Farm2Fork (F2F) Summit. Maverick Minds created a large scale canvas where people could comment, create and connect.
Held on Cockatoo Island Sydney Harbour it was the largest event of its kind for Rabobank and was a day to celebrate innovation in food production, exploring the perspectives of farmers, trend watchers and start-up entrepreneurs.
More than 1300 delegates attended the F2F Summit.
