Connection over content is something we hear regularly when working with people.
Some of the most meaningful connections and conversations I’ve had in my work haven’t started with words – they’ve started with images.
Over the years, I’ve noticed something happens when we bring visuals into a space, whether we’re in a room together or connected through a screen. People slow down. They reflect. They access ideas or stories that might have stayed hidden. And suddenly, the conversation shifts and becomes more human, more curious, more connected.
How can we do this intentionally?
We’ll explore and practice this in The Visual Shift – a practical, reflective session for coaches, facilitators, and leaders who want to bring more depth, energy, and genuine connection into their virtual spaces.
One of the simplest ways I’ve found to do that is through images, not as decoration, but as a way to spark insight, surface meaning, and help people see things differently. It’s why I created the Maverick Minds Shift Your Thinking facilitation and coaching cards, and they’ve become a tool I use in my work to help groups explore what matters most.
Why visuals work:
🖼 They lead to metaphor and meaning, helping people express ideas they didn’t know they had
🤝 They build authentic connections. Visuals create space for reflection, insight, and shared understanding
💬 They invite quieter voices in because not everyone wants to jump straight into words
🌐 They bring energy and life to virtual sessions. Images break the rhythm of slides and talking heads
If you’re curious to explore this, we’d love you to join us.
