It’s been an artful time with The Gap Creative’s Winter Solstice Exhibition held at the Gap High School Tula Gallery. The Gap Creative is a very active membership-based community for artists located in The Gap of which there are many.
I was delighted to sell both of my exhibited works, There’s No Place Like Home and Room with a View, to fellow artists and educators who connected deeply with the layered stories and architectural inspiration in each collage.
Alongside the exhibition, I co-facilitated a collage workshop with Kim Price. We created a space to explore practice some foundational collage techniques – cutting, pasting, composition, and experimentation.

And in news from further afield, my collage cut out page Fabrication was included in the Kolaj Institute’s World Collage Day Special Edition magazine.

There’s real joy in being connected to a creative community, both locally and across the world. Places and spaces where ideas, images, and stories are exchanged and appreciated.
I’d love to hear what communities you’re involved with that give you a sense of connection?
